- We will be with you although only through the pictures...
The strong wind that struck us for 2 days has finally subsided. It was dangerous even to pull up the meals... Now we can relax. Finally. Thank you, all of you, for your phone calls out of concern: the secretary general of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Lee, Youngjoo, the chair to the Southern division Goo, Jahyun, and all.
The operating committee of KIA Motors Union division, where we belong, was held. We had been waiting for the committee meeting with concern since it was going to deal with the item of our families’ cost of living, which is very important for our family members who are now in suffer without us. The committee meeting was held by the decision of the regular representative convention on April 24, where the item had been on discussion for so long that the representatives had decided to deal with it separately on an operating committee meeting. Yet the result of the meeting we hear is quite disappointing: the committee decided to deal with the item again on another representative convention. Time will flow on-toward nowhere meanwhile...
KIA Motors fired us right after we had climbed up here to make our families suffer for living. We doubt whether the company is ever going to submit any progressive plan for the negotiation in the third week this month, seeing the committee decision as such. We do not say we do not know what the KIA Union division is worried about, but it is so painful to watch them hesitate for almost one year, whether to admit our fight as the fight of the Union. Isn’t it too harsh to say, under these circumstances, “We can discuss about some things if you come down.” Are you saying that the situation belongs to only the two of us, so it is we that should take the whole responsibility for the current situation now?
This afternoon, we become to ask these kinds of questions to us, just ourselves...
It is Children’s Day tomorrow. We are going to be with our children although even just through their pictures. Thank you for the broadcasting, chief editor Chung, Boyoug. Mrs. Yoon, Sonjoo, who brought the lunch boxes, thank you very much. It seems Mrs. Pruna has prepared them. Correct?

– My first son sent up a flower basket and a letter
Thanks to the rain that rained all day today, today’s Munwha-je is being held in a very cold weather. Those of you who are here, you look like wearing too light. Please take care of yourselves and do not catch cold. Thank you.
Yesterday and today, the Plaza is full of noisy amp sounds. We do not look down, but the feeling of joy with singing and shouting of course comes to us up here, too. We two, in our mind, have been worried about our family members, but I guess we worried for nothing so far. My comrade Choi, Jung Myung is also very happy to know that our family members have not been depressed and gotten along together with our comrades down there on the ground. The critical foundation that makes us, the Sitters-In, keep going fighting, the most important power for us, is our comrades; your existences make us feel calm all the time.
My first son sent a carnation basket and a letter up here to me not even letting his mom know about it. I guess he has grown. We have obtained much precious stuff, too, so far in the time flow, anyways.
Mr. Lee Ssin, Ms. Kang, Yunhee, Ahn, Gyeseop and comrade Kim, Sungman who offered your solidarity for us through your performances at the Munwha-je; Mrs. Yoon, Sunju who brought meal-boxes in these bad weather and Hangryn Church congregation member Kim, Sookyung who wrote us an encouraging letter, we thank you all so very much.

– The scent of human we smelled one year ago
The Plaza, which had been full of noises all weekend and the Sunday, is quiet today for a change. The daily temperature range is quite wide these days. The sky is getting darker just like it is going to rain.
The Kia Motors Union division has started its emergency representative convention. It is to confirm the 2016 request proposal for wage and collective agreement. The convention has many agenda to deal with, and it is not easy to decide fights and converge opinions. Yet we hope the convention reaches proper decision for the development of the Union and its social responsibility. We also expect its aggressive decision regarding the fight for temporary employment issue.
It is Family Day today; a lot of people came visit us out of pain for us. What a luxurious thing it is, the scent of flowers from the three bunches that came up here to us! The scent is dancing all over the electronic board. Altogether, the scent is much, much stronger than when they are alone separately. Putting down my head into the flowers and smelling the scent on and on, I recall the very scent I smelled one year ago: the scent of human, that of hope. The scent of solidarity, that of our comrades. Thank you so very much.
Union member Han, Jinsoo who prepared the precious food from far, far away, (born with a) dirt-spoon member of the People Alliance Party Son, Sol, Hangryn Church congregation members who sent up lunch yesterday, Mr. Choi, Gyungyoon who came visit us in secret and Home-rice Ji, Yunho who made us today’s lunch, Thank you so very much.
So has it been another day. Fighting!
