Choi Jung Myung and Han Gyu Hyup, the two KIA Motors (former) temporary employees who climbed down to the ground after 363 days of their high-place Sit-In, were forcefully hauled by the police the moment they stepped down on the ground. Prior to this, the negotiation representatives composed of Union executives, lawyers and some congressmen climbed up to the Sit-In spot and made an arrangement with the police for medical treatment and all, but the police broke this pre-arrangement and violently hauled the two sitters-in to hospital even before they could say hi to their family members and companions.
Union members Choi Jung Myung and Han Gyu Hyup had continued their high-place Sit-In on the electronic board on top of a 13-story building for 363 days, 2 days short one whole year, demanding that KIA Motors transfer the illegal dispatch temporary position to the permanent position and follow the judgment of court concerning the related matter. Congresspersons Yoon Jong Oh and Kim Jong Hoon (independent) and Jin Son Mi (the Democratic-along), Kim Seong Rak KIA Motors Union division chair, Jang Jes Yung Whaseong division chair, and Kim Soo Uk Whaseong branch manager participated in the press conference that was held just prior to their lift of Sit-In. There, the participants all said, “We are so sorry and thank you. We are sorry that we could not solve the temporary employment problem and that we have left you in the ‘in-the-sky prison’ for such a long period as one year.” They also added, “We thank you so very much for that you two have raised the alarm to our society regarding the illegal dispatch problem and the temporary employment matter, and that you two are safely getting down to the ground with no severe injury or serious health-related matter.”
Union members Choi Jung Myung and Han Gyu Hyup, saying that only their fight place has been switched ‘from Up-High to the Ground’, have declared that they would strenuously continue their fight for the transfer of temporary employment to the permanent position and for the penalty of KIA Motors chairman Chung Mong Goo, the illegal dispatch and Union destruction ‘to-be-caught in the act’.
